Story Behind The Song
I purchased a 1976 Univox Les Paul on ebay and was using it at rehearsal It's just like the one that I owned in High School, so I was feeling nostalgic. We rehearse monitoring with in ear monitors in Cubase 5 (with everything in the room mic'd). I started a riff and liked it. I stopped, hit record (so that, if I liked it, I could write something from it) and we played what you hear. I replaced the bass players track with my own bass part (sonically, it wasn't recored as well as I wanted it, that's why I replaced his track) and added a keyboard track (we are a three piece - Guitar, Bass and Drums), mixed, mastered and copyrighted it. It's one of the few recordings that actually represents the way that I play guitar.
